Feel the shift

The other day a special client sent me this letter along with her check for her last session.  You can see here that BodyTalk doesn't only work on physical problems but on the emotional ones behind them.  As my friend, Ed Kelly, says, "Let's find the cause behind the cause and fix that."  Here's the letter.

Dear Dawn,

Thank you for the awesome session last week.  WOW!  Do I feel better.  You were right, I was irritable the next day towards evening.  (I knew this because her body urged me to prepare her for it).  Thanks for the heads up on that.  I hope Robert is doing okay after having so many teeth pulled.
  Blessings on your week.
  Love,
  XXXXXXXX

PS.  I wanted you to know that I feel much stronger!  It's hard for me to explain but I also feel it is easier for me to know better what is the "Right" thing to do or say in my relationships and life.  I feel I am better able to give my opinion; not be ashamed of it; and to be bolder.  I am not there yet, but I feel the shift.

How cool is that?  If you are wanting to see this kind of change in your life, just drop me a note here and we'll get you going on the higher road too!

Have a great week!

So not perfect

Anyone who knows me well knows how I struggle with procrastination.  The thinking goes like this, "Well, I don't have time to do that perfectly now, so I'll just do it later."  Then, as you all know, it doesn't get done at all.

That's how I feel about posting on this blog.  There is so much that I want to say about each client's growth and progress that it seems insurmountable to do it justice.  Therefore, I don't do it at all.  Well, I got a note in the mail that I just HAVE to share with you so, please forgive the imperfect presentation.

I've been working with a young man about 24 years old who had surgery at age 5.  He never recovered but didn't realize that this is what was holding him back in life in numerous ways.  He started sessions with me in '09 and then quit for some reason.  Then a few months ago he called and was desparate.  To me, that slight tinge of "Wishing I was dead" made me take it seriously and I worked him in that evening.

He's had 3 sessions close together now and is doing so much better already.  He said during his lasts session, "Why does BodyTalk work so well in comparison to other modalities?"

I explained that the brain knows exactly what the body needs done to correct ANY problem--physical or emotional.  Stress weakens the communication between the brain and the body, though, and then things remain uncorrected.  In a BT session, I tune into what the body is needing the brain to know about it's condition.  By tapping this information into the brain and heart, I let the brain know what's going on with the body and then the brain gets to work repairing the damage.  It's that simple.

Anyway, this young man's mom sent me a $200 check with a note that said, "Thanks for helping my son.  XXXXX"  As you can guess, the note means more to me than the check.  However, I am learning to appreciate making the money that I need to continue my education; pay my office rent; and buy my needed health and beauty care items.  It truly IS nice to know how to take care of myself and it's a total delight to see other's learn how to do so as well.  Praise the Lord for all that He has taught me of His healing ways!

Back to work,

Dawn

Emotional Stability

Question: What is it worth to be stable emotionally--especially in front of our children?

Answer: LOTS!!!!!!!!

Cora just found this thank-you note as she was cleaning and it reminded me of the session with this mom. Her son was just leaving to go back to work in Fargo, after having been home for the weekend. She felt emotional after the session and was dreading going downstairs to say, "Goodbye." She told me that she had often felt weak when she started crying and she hated that feeling as it made her feel stupid. So the concept, "Crying" and the concept, "Feeling stupid" had somehow gotten linked in her mind.

As I balanced this for her, she blew it all away. After tapping it out, she felt better but still a little nervous as it made her son's departure unhappy for him, if she cried when he left. She didn't want that one bit. I was pleased as could be to receive this note with her check in the mail.

Dear Dawn,

That was a great session! I felt so great after it. I didn't cry when XXXXXXXXXX left. But that wouldn't be a situation that I would have felt "Stupid" for crying about.

Thanks again,

K.

I continue to be amazed at how BodyTalk can help bring stability to the emotions. So here this mom came out of an emotional session and went into an emotional situation and did not feel the need to cry as she had in the past. OH HOW WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!

More strength

Here are 2 emails that I received close together from a client who has viewed herself as weak in relation to certain others in her life. In the session, it came up that she was ready to let go of a thought process regarding the word, "Strength." I'm not ever sure what specifics are involved but we're taught to tell the client to look for improvements in this area.

I was delighted to hear that, very quickly after the session, she learned that she had more strength than she thought she had. Did the session give her more strength directly? Perhaps, but my guess is that, by getting rid of the thought that she didn't have enough strength in that area, the strength that she had all along was able to emerge. AWESOME!!

Please note that she commented how tired she was the evening after her session. This is perfectly normal as a BodyTalk session can be very tiring for the brain--it's HARD WORK! However, it's work that needs to be done so that healing can take place, so it's good work! :)

And now, seeing as Sabbath is here, I will rest from my work and wish you all peace.

Dawn, or as Cora calls me, Mother B.

Dear Dawn,

I want to tell you that today I needed "strength." When that came up in Body Talk I knew immediately what that meant as there is one person in my life who has always made me feel weak and helpless.

I am weeping right now but don't want you to feel down about it. Please be encouraged that you did good work the other night as I don't know if I would have had the strength to stand up to this person today if you hadn't given me the session! I kept repeating the verse, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." And I was able to do what I needed to do. It's funny (not really) how this situation came to a head a couple days after the session, isn't it? This will be a strong point in favor of Body Talk.

Dear Dawn,

After I wrote the previous note to you, the same person called me again! It was even more grueling to sit and listen than the first two times. When I could get a few words in, I did, and I think I made much more sense than he did.

It was funny as he would ask me a question. When I was trying to answer, he would interrupt so I tried interrupting, too. Then he would say, "Don't interrupt me, I'm talking!" I reminded him that he had asked me a question but wouldn't let me answer. Isn't that hilarious?

I don't know if anything I said will make a difference. I tried to be godly and not say anything to intentionally try to hurt this person. But he is so twisted and mixed up in his thinking who knows how it will all turn out. While I was drained and sad I am sure I did the right thing in standing up for myself and my family. So, I really didn't have the energy to do anything but the bare necessities last night.

Again be encouraged in the fact that you are helping people like me. Keep up the good work. And thank you for your prayers. I am so very grateful for the peace of God that passes understanding.

Blessings
